  1. Hi

I'm looking for a "mpeg_in_Avi" hoewver a mpeg2 decoder that is not ffdshow.

ffdshow decode my mpeg2 .avi's as "mpeg1 libavcodec"

Do you know another vfw codec/decoder that can read from FFMPEG libraries?

    Rhanks

  2. ffdshow opens your sample in the other thread as mpg2 in vdub for me

However, long GOP MPEG2 with b-frames in AVI has serious problems - you can get black/green frames, frames out of order. It's not possible to edit accurately without indexing. AVI not a suitable container for compression with b-frames . I-frame only MPEG2 won't have those issues (or any compression that is I-frame only) . The problem is AVI container does 1 frame in and out at a time, but temporal compression can reference foward and backward frames . This problem is not limited to long GOP MPEG2 (othr types of compression with b-frames as well in AVI container)

  3. but I think have a mpeg-2 I frame as source.
I import the .avi files in Speed Razor, previously I have set vidc.mpg2=ff_vfw.dll (with the ffshow installed and configured) otherwise Speed Razor can not import nothing.
    But the deblocking image remains
