    There are 3 settings: 1. Res: 720 x 576 (PAL) or 720 x 480 (NTSC)
    Bitrate: 1750 kbps
DVD Quality for 50 mins on one cd.

    2. Res: 640 x 480 ( PAL & NTSC)
    Bitrate: 910 kbps
Better than SVCD Quality for 80 mins on one cd.

    3. Res: 544 x 432 (PAL) 544 x 324 (NTSC)
Bitrate: 850 kbps or lower to 400 kbps
Higher bitrate is more compared to SVCD. 95 mins to 3 hours on one cd.
Don't use a lower resolution that looks very bad.

I use the third option with 700 kbps very much you get good results.
Look with a bitrate calc for the best bitrate to set.

I hope it will help you!
