I converted an mpg to a vcd mpg using Video Pack 5.
The converted mpg lost some picture color quality.
The original mpg was clear and bright and the converted one
    was dull and greyish.

How can I convert with the exact same quality.
TPMGEnc would not convert it...got a msg that said:
    "can not open, or unsupported"

    Thanks for any help

Maybe you have to fix the file with any tool or the file isn't a MPG but a AVI if that is the problem you have to change the extensions into *.avi

    I hope this will help

Thanks for the fast reply. I'm sure this is an MPG and not an AVI.
What do you mean by "fix the file with any tool " Can you tell me how to do it and what Tool. Do I fix the original or the converted MPG

    Thanks
