  1. When I look at properties on some avi or jpeg, I notice theCreated = 10/18/13 10:36pm
    Modify = 10/18/13 10:00pm
    Accessed = same as modify

    How can Modify date be before the Created date? Makes no sense.

    The time/date on the device that created the jpeg is set different than the device that modified it? Or the jpeg was created, then the device's time was set to an earlier time?

    i'm sure there are ligitimate reasons for redatestamping.

    when i work with files, i mainly sort the folder by latest date first. this helps me to get to the file quickly and drag/drop/open it as needed. then i can shrink the folder some so that i can have a cleaner desktop/workspace to drag into certain tools. however, some files (like videos, graphs, db's) are not so easily and quickly recreated or the steps envolved are to many to recall. so i came up with the idea of just redatestamp those to 12/31/2013. works out well for me.
