no longer have thumbnail view of photos/images

probably a super simple fix to thisbut recently, maybe since an update, whenever i highlight a photo or image file, there isnt a preview of it. before if i went into my photo album, and highlighter say IMG 5634 in the corner would show a small thumbnail preview of the photo so i didnt have to press and open the full screen photo so see what it is
its not doing that anymore
it just shows it saying the name, date taken, jpg etc but no preview


any idea where i go to set this back to how it always was before and preview all photos/images?

Try manual enable image preview in Performance option

Looks like you got your answer but in case the preview on the right side is what you want or ever disappears or if the fix roma_turok provided doesn't work for others that come here, you can turn on the preview PANE by clicking icon in the upper right on Windows 7.
