    Hi, people.
First of all, thanks for your help.

    Well, here's me problem:

I was trying to convert a few video files using Avidemux (its functionality for cutting pieces from a whole video was what attracted my attention).

I was really enjoying the software until I had to apply the Decomb Telecide filter. When I try to, all options appear blank. I did everything I usually do in situations like this: ran as administrator, ran in compatibility mode (I'm running Windows 7), reinstalled (after a registry cleaning)...

So far I could only use this functionality with older version of Avidemux, such as 2.5 (current is, if I'm not mistaken, 2.6.6). The problem shouldn't be the video file, for I have tested many different files.

    Thanks again!

They removed most of the filters for the 2.6.0 version. I don't see the Decomb Telecide filter in the list of removed items but you never know.

  3. I am taking my chance to reply and assist you in a right direction.

If you really think it is a bug, I would rather suggest you to take it to specific forum, and wait for author's confirmation. If it's a bug they will fix it in a next release or so. You much have patient and courage to keep trying their future releases.

Meanwhile, I would suggest roll back to the version that you were using previously and see it started working again.

When ever reply to such posts, most of the members think that I am strongly against at the authors of such softwares. But, it is different in reality, I would probably treat the authors with excellent beers & bytes for their valuable contributions. But, definitely shout loudly at handicapped features when I am fully drunk. If they over listen I simply change the table.

Bcoz I trully believe "Why not OpenSource or FreeWare community (people who uses opensource/freewares for many many reasons) should have simple the best ones!" And, lots of opensource/freewares proved to be simply the best among others. Everybody here knows it very well, as well.

Here I would like to cite specifically that Selur (Hybrid), _MrC_ (AVStoDVD), and few others are found much resourceful right here on VideoHelp. Plus I have noticed subsequent improvements in their each releases.

I sincerely convey BiG ThanK You! to all authors who are on track of continuous improvements.

I don't think it has been removed. It is there, it just doesn't show the text in options. See the image I have attached.

Because I have had issue in the past with up to date programs, I thought it would be just for me this is happening.

But, yeah, the software is pretty cool, still. Big thank to the developer.

I couldn't replace audio on a video without AviDemux.

I guess this is part of the reason that 2.6 isn't in the tested repositories for ubuntu linux. It ain't really ready yet. I use 2.5 in linux but I don't want to bother downloading and compiling 2.6 for linux.

When I was using win 7 for such things (a little while ago) I tried 2.6 and, frankly, I was pretty surprised they released it like that. Doesn't sound much better now.

If you don't need the more advanced h.264 capabilities that 2.6 gives you in this case, I'd suggest you just use 2.5.whatever. There's no problem installing both versions in windows.

Thanks for the info, Hoser Rob. I'm glad to see the problem is not on my computer only.

I'm converting a video now using version 2.5. In case the result isn't as good as expected, what other software could you guys recommend that would open TSV files, split/join them (in a similar way AviDemux does) and save the result as an MP4 file (assuming such other program exist)?

Edit: Using AviDemux 2.5 the audio was very out of sync. =/ So, I'm hoping you guys can suggest another soft for this purpose. Thanks!
