    Hello,

I did some searching and I didn't find specifically what I was looking for, so forgive me if this was answered elsewhere and I missed it.

I normally use MakeMKV or Handbrake to rip my blu-rays and DVDs, and they work like a champ. The problem I am running into is some of my anime DVDs that have all the episodes as a single instance on the disc, so when I rip them I get 1 giant file with 4-6 episodes. After searching though the forums, I found a guide with DVD Decrypter, which allows me to see each individual episode and pull them out as a VOB. This is fine as I can use tools to convert them to MKV containers.

Here is the rub, When I get the VOB files, I want them to have both audio tracks, English and Japanese, and the subtitles. I figured out to get both soundtracks, though I can't seem to pull out subtitles.

Is there a better solution then they way I am trying to do it, or how to pull out the subtitles? I have been though the options, and I will admit, I am still very new to the HTPC and media center arena, so If I am using the wrong terms, thought processes, please forgive me.

Here are some of the settings, and the stream processing screen that shows the subtitles are selected, but again, I am lost...

Thanks for any help or suggestions
    - Rob

The VOBs you have highlighted in the first picture are NOT the individual episodes.
You are showing File Mode in the top picture and IFO Mode in the second picture.

Thank you for correcting me, though my terminology is not correct, the ends are the still the same. Those 3 files I have highlighted in file mode are the 3 episodes. (When I put the .VOB files I extracted into MPC-HC are the episodes 17/18/19 for the season. I looked into the file mode settings and didn't see anything that would really help me out much.

When I put DVD Decrypter into IFO mode, I am left with some options that I don't quite understand how to work with to get the end goal I am looking for. I get the following screen :

VTS_01 - All three episodes in 1 file (which When I got to streem Processing has both audio track sand sub titles)
VTS_02 - Which is the "Intro Credits for the Production company, etc)
VTS_03 - Which are "Other Series" adverts.

I do believe I am missing something. When I go into the file section under settings, I picked "Main Movie + IFOs" and I am running that now and will see if that works. I guess my other question is; is what I am trying to do really something that no one does, or that out of the ordinary?

If PGC1 is the "main body" of the DVD(and it looks like it is), then whoever authored that DVD stuck a bunch of chapters within the episodes. Normally each episode is a chapter.
You may want to do some math and divide the number of episodes by the number of chapters listed.....see if each episode has the same number of chapters.....so for example episode 1 is chapters 1 thru 4 and just take those(unchecking all of the others)....then rip again with 5 thru 9 to get each episode.
Or try to open the disc with DVDShrink and reauthor that way.
