Hey everyone.So I just purchased a BD-Burner.
I am completely new to RIPPING, COPYING etc. of BR media. I am posting here, in this section, hoping to get more insight (details and specifics) on how to do these things. I am familiar with ripping DVD movies; but even that's a few months back. I remember using the free decryption utility from DVDFab and then using hand brake to make an MKV file
Mainly, THAT is what I want to do, except, I dint know what software will work the best. I just need help from everyone.
Basically, If SOMEONE could please help me in explaining (specifically) The BEST (easy and efficient) WAY (what SOFTWARE and TOOLS) to create a high quality movie file that's of reasonable size (around 4GB for a standard movie), preferably FOR FREE, and work with me I'd really appreciate it. Are there any GUIDES?
*****So far I've tried:
MakeMKV and it just ended up creating a directory with a bunch of folders and sub folders but NO MKV FILE
I've also D/L'd the NEWEST VERSION of DvdFAB (from the tools section) and backed up a copy of "Gone" which seems to work fine, but has a watermark.
Also The newest version's main program interface is annoying AND I remember, when I was just ripping DVD's, people telling me to just use the free decrypter, but I don't see that anywhere.
Is the free decryption feature still there? The ripper seems OK, but it is just a trial and I don't want to pay
I also tried VidCoder and it gives me an error right after I selct the F:\ (The BD-Writer), it scans the disc (BR Movie) it gives the error message:
"An error occured while scanning"
Any help I would really appreciate guys! I am COMPLETELY LOSTif you hadn't guessed
