I'm making VCD's w/ Toast 5, and I'm wondering what resolution to make them? I'm importing from VHS on an 8100/100 AV. MacAddict says they should be 720x480, but that chops the sides on my regular TV. Should I just stick w/ 640x480?
Also, what's the best framerate to record? I'm guessing 60 fps, but if I do it in 30 fps or 45, will it be too choppy?

Believe it or not, a standards compliant VCD for NTSC is 352x240 at 29.97(video) or 23.976(film) ; for PAL it's 352x288 at 25 fps. Video encode must be 1150 kbit/sec. Ia'm not saying other setting won't work, but then they would not be standard compliant.
