I have a dual monitor configuration. I've come across this issue that I can't resolve.

I typically open my media player on the 2nd (extended) monitor. When playing some video files (seems like it's some mp4 files, but I haven't kept track), I will get distortion/flickering on the bottom of the 1st (primary) monitor. This occurs using KMPlayer, PotPlayer, and MPCHC. I've currently uninstalled KMPlayer/PotPlayer and have MPCHC configured as my default media player for all video files. My current work around for this behavior is to simply open the file using VLC.

It's not the video drivers, as I've had several versions installed during the existence of this issue and it's occurred with them all. I assume it's codec related, but I'm at a loss on how to resolve.

If you need any other information, just ask.

I should note that the flickering is only a 2-3 inch band across the bottom of the screen.

Reminds me of an issue I've had in the past with Flash player, where if you have "hardware acceleration" enabled, a similar display issue occurs.

After remembering the Flash issue, I thought that it might be related to having a flash page playing at the same time, but that is not the case. Simply having the movie playing cause the flickering on the primary monitor.
