By that i mean which is the best route for pic/sound quality.
I have been encoding in TMPGEnc, sticking to what I know. After getting unsatisfactory audio results I encoded an m2v and a downsampled wav and muxxed them, however this requires cutting afterwards which messes up the audio synch! So I cannot judge the end result LOL.
Pic looks good as usual so my question is which in your opinion is the best route, downsample the wav and encode it with d2v in TMPGEnc or make an m2v and muxx it with a nice wav file and sort out the synch afterwards.
Time is a factor but not as much as the quality of the end result.
Thanks to anyone who can help. 8)

What you want to do is this:
Create the d2v project file in DVD2AVI
Downsample and otherwise process the audio
Select the d2v as the video source in TMPGEnc
Select the wav as the audio source in TMPGEnc
Use the source range "filter" for cutting -
Thanks
That is exactly how I wanted to do it and said you should but I have been arguing with friends over this. Them saying you would get better quality encoding both seperate then muxxing, haha!
Thanks again kinneera, dunno where I would be without your advice this week
