At work I use a PC configured with Windows 7. I adjust Internet Explorer to fill half my computer screen, and another program to fill the other half. Internet Explorer will retain the width dimensions that I set it to, but it absolutely refuses to retain the height dimensions that I stretch it to. It always "snaps back" to half it's height when I refresh the program display.
What causes this?
How can I stop it so that it will just stay the way I set it?
Any help of suggestions would be appreciated.

Win7 has many view options built-in (using Aero). Read more here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-desktop/split-screen-option...f-04af477f5cc5
As to your specific issue, are you saving the window size? (Open a single instance, drag it to the size you want, close it). When you reopen it, it should be the size in which it was closed.Google is your Friend
