    Hello,

I've been using the PVR 2 for a while now but it suddenly decided to no longer begin or end the capture by pushing the button on the device. I'm using the ArcSoft Showbiz software it came with to capture which used to automatically open and record if the button was pushed. I now have to use the PC to start and stop recordings but the box was much easier to access on the fly (while gaming).

Does anyone know why this is (or more specifically; is not) occuring?

By the way, the light on the box is a solid yellow with the software open and a solid blue when it is not. Either way the button doesn't do anything when pressed.

    Hey man,

ArcSoft Showbiz is the 3rd party software that was always supplied with the HD PVR's.
Now Hauppauge have made their own software for the new editions of the PVR (PVR 2 line).

The new program can be found at: http://www.hauppauge.com/capture/

Works really well, See if this fixes your issue.

If it doesn't i'd recommend contacting them directly - http://www.hauppauge.com/site/contact/contact_us.html

    Hope this helps :P

Does the Hauppauge device Central Tray Tool / properties / configuration icon.... show in the tray. This is where you can configure the behavior of the button as to which program it will start and stop. If it isn't there then maybe you can run it from the start program Hauppauge menu entries otherwise you may have to reinstall it. If it is there then check to see how it is set since there is an ignore button option which may have accidentally been triggered.
There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.
