Embed subtitles with lav filters?

Hello all,

I updated my codecs with KCP. This codecpack doesn't use ffdshow.
I'm trying to covert 10bit video to 8 bit using format factory. I used to be able to make an avisynth script, load it in format factory and the the frameserver would load the subtitle too. The new encode would have the subtle embedded into it.

Having lav filters i can't find seem to find a way to load the subtitle while encoding. Anyone know a solution for this? Is there a way to use ffdshow only for the subs and only when using format factory?

If you don't want to use ffdshow, then you have to use (xy-)VSFilter.

The only kind of subtitles supported by LAV Video itself is *DVD subpics*.

(xy-)VSFilter is also installed and works when using MPC-HC. But when encoding with Format Factory the subs don't seem to load.

Then verify if Format Factory is or is not using the DirectShow engine for decoding the source video.
VSFilter also includes an Avisynth "interface", so that it can be used as a plugin.

And no, I've never used Format Factory, and I never will ( hopefully ).
