  1. When i am using some of the aero themes of Windows 7 and i play a movie on Crystal Player the video doesn't flow smooth but intermittent. Something like frame by frame but not so slow. When i disable the aero theme and use basic theme the problem disappear and the video stream smoothly. I have k-lite codec pack basic installed but i don't think the problem is from the codecs, i think it is because of the aero themes.

Any idea why the aero themes might be causing this problem?

Try other players and see how it works with the aero theme. Like VLC media player. It has builtin codecs.

  3. VLC player works fine with aero theme but i prefer to use Crystal Player. VLC player doesn't have option to attach subtitles to each movie file and option for panorama view.

I just wanted to know if it happend with all players.

Crystal player might not be as "optimized" as other players. You could try ask in http://www.crystalreality.com/cp/forum/

Or try more players like mpchc, potplayer, kmplayer.

It is well known that Aero places additional demands on the CPU and video card. Some people find it necessary to turn off Aero when using a program that requires additional system resources, especially if they are using a low-end computer.

When I looked at the description, I saw Crystal Player is supposed to be well suited for use on netbooks and other low-end computers, but it will still need to compete with Aero for system resources.

  6. Try turning off Transparency in the Window Color settings.

  7. Turning off the transparency seems to have positive effect. The video streams more fluently. It is not perfect but it's better than with transparency on.
