I've got AVStoDVD 2.4 on my computer, and the only complaint is that it doesn't allow for giving the menu any background music.

I've seen they've gotten as high now as 2.7.

Does anyone know if it now allows for menu audio, or if some similar freeware does? (And if so, what program?)

I'd download 2.7 to find out, but I'm mostly happy with 2.4 and I don't want to mess things up.

Version 2.7.1 is fine. There is no reason not to upgrade unless you use Quenc instead of HCenc as the main encoder. Quenc was dropped in favor of ffmpeg.

To enable music for the menu, go to DVD Menu-->Template tab and put a check mark in the box next to Enable background audio. Then run the Menu Editor, put a check mark in the little circle next to Edit (under Mode), then you'll be able to import your music file on the Audio line found at the very bottom of the Menu Editor window in the center.

    Ummm...

    It's greyed out on mine.

Installation problem, or is there something I don't know about how to use it. (I've already drag'n'dropped the video file into the AVStoDVD window.)

    Don't know mate.

All I have to do is load a title, click the DVD Menu button and then I get another selection where I can run the editor. The drop down menu from the DVD Menu button also shows the menu but that appears un-responsive.

Post a message on the support thread. _MrC_ is nearly always around.

    Heh.

Played with it for a bit more, and noticed the place where you click to make a checkmark that enables audio on the menu.

I've used this software for a couple years now and for the first time I can finally make DVDs with menu music.

    Many thanks.

Just created a new .iso of a project I'm working on, and had wished there was a way to get audio going on the menu. Now it has music.

You're the man. Now get those cotton swabs out of your nose.
