    Hi,

When I play a clip on the camcorder, the audio is ok; when inserting the SD Card (SDHC I Extreme by ScanDisk) into the slit of the PC as well as connecting to PC via USB cable, there is only noise.

    What may be the reason?

    Thank you for every hint

    Regards

    Aloha

  2. Does the picture play? Try another player like VLC or MPC-HC which has its own audio (and video) codecs.

You probably don't have an AAC or Dolby Digital decoder installed.

The picture plays and I have tried with different players, one of them being the Magix VideoDeluxe2014 Premium.

How may I check which decoders are installed and if they aren't, how to install AAC or Dolby Digital decoders?

I have tried now to capture the same scene as MOV and as MP4:_ the problem exists only with the MOV format; the captures in MP4 play with normal sound on the PC.

    Hi,

I just tried with Quicktime and the sound is ok, but only with QT.
That is already a progress, but not sufficient because in my editing software (Magix Videodeluxe) the problem exists, too.

What may be the solution? Is there something like a QT codec that I would have to install in order to play the captures with other software than QT?

    Sincerely

    Aloha

  7. Please post a mediainfo report of the troublesome clips, or even better, upload a short one for us to try. Not a converted clip, original only.

here is a report. If the information contained in it is not sufficient, I may try tomorrow to upload a short clip.

  9. 24bit 96.0 Khz audio is less common than 16bit 48k. You may want to use quicktime to downconvert.

You mean that one can convert with QT?
