I have a DVD I burnt on my set-top recorder, but absent-mindedly forgot to add any chapter stops before I burnt it (after I'd already erased the recorder's HDD, of course).
Is there any easy way to take the Video_TS folder and add new chapter stops in a Mac-compatible utility? Would really prefer than to having to convert the file to MPEG and having to re-encode in real time, etc.

The cost would be recovered by the ease that comes with the wide range of excellent freeware software for video projects of all types.
Just thought I'd throw that in there.
By the way programs like tmpgenc dvd author can import an existing dvd structure and you can reauthor it from there without further reencoding (assuming it was truly dvd compatible originally).
I would check for any mac dvd authoring program that offers dvd importing. Than you should, in theory, be able to just import the original folder and author anew without destructive reencoding.
Aside from that you would have to demux that dvd folder and reauthor from the beginning. I don't know what tools can demux on the mac. You would have to search the tools section for that or head to google.
