I am a noob regarding video editing, i will try to explain what i am trying to
accomplish hoping somebody will point me in the right direction.

I am ripping BD for my son, we reproduce those movies either on a TV, my wife two
computers runnig MacOS, my two computers running Linux, or any of our tablets
    either Ipad or Samsung.

So i choose the .m4v format. There are a few movies not for kids but youngsters,
with a some scenes i want to cut, i have found ways to do it in Linux, but i have not
found yet a way to cut some scene and preserve the two audio channels we want.

I'm pretty sure this is an already solved problem, but i do not know what keywords
i am looking for. I appreciate any help you can provide.

    Thanks

    raymundo

I adjusted the thread title so it better describes the main problem.

I haven't seen any basic editor with a gui that supports several audio tracks in a mp4. It might be possible with mp4box or ffmpeg, but they are command line software so you must type in the cuts manually.
