    I have Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9b and I think it is maybe a little to old for GPU rendering but I'm not sure.
    I have not see any pulldown menu for that so my question is what version did they start using that?

    sounds about right. i think gpu encoding was introduced in vegas pro 9 and studio is usually one version later for new stuff.
