I have an animation I originally created in Flash, exported to Premiere and export from Premiere into QT or MP4. I want to place the files on a USB drive and insert into a HDTV to automatically play. I would like to know what format my animation should be in in order to play on the TV.
Regards,
Mike

Read the hdtv manual.
Or give us the name of the hdtv and we might be able to find some info. -
I read the Tv's manual and it indicated that MP4 would work. It doesn't. TV is a Sony Bravia 40"
Thanks Mike -
MP4 could be a lot of stuff. Install MediaInfo and open your file with it and post the results here and we might be able to offer suggestions. But we can't guarantee that all HDTVs with USB slots will automatically play your file. However, we can probably make it more likely that this will happen.

It doesn't support all kinds of mp4s.
Probably not any hd material so be sure to keep the frame size around 720x576 pixels or lower.
Try also use h264 video with max level 4.1 and aac audio.
What sony bravia model? -
Likely few if any consumer TVs with a built-in media player support autoplay. I know my TV requires a user to complete a series of steps to select and play a media file even if there is only one file present on the USB device and it is located in the root directory. You would probably need to get a dedicated media player to be able to set up autoplay.
