Will Sony Vegas 8 Pro ... run ok in Windows 8

Does anyone know if Sony Vegas 8 Pro will run ok in windows 8

I am buying a new computer and they mainly come with windows 8 pre installed.....

Cannot find a reference to wether or if Vegas 8 pro will run on a new computer with windows 8...

Let's say it doesn't work, what will you do? Not buy a new computer? May as well try it.

At best you're still going to be very limited as to which types of files will play/edit smoothly.

At worst you upgrade your version of vegas as well. (Or even "downgrade" to $50 Studio Version 12)

My alternative is to get a new computer with windows 7 ..which vegas 8 pro will work..... and i do not need to upgrade my Vegas 8 pro

The other issue is ... many say they do not like windows 8...but i am still unable to find out if it will run in windows 8 or not..... even google seems to have no defind answer...of yes or no...

Vegas 8 is a dinosaur compared to 9+. I don't think 8 even supports H.264.
