I was just confused with your title as it says "vs".

I have never used easy media creator and wmp is basicly just good for wmv video and wma,mp3 audio. I use vlc media player and mpchc.

It's perfectly clear. You're trying to compare an apple to an orange. WMP is just a player (and a crappy one). Roxio creator says nothing on their site about playing video.

Roxio doesn't do anything I can see that you can't do with freeware.

The last time I used wmp in windows 7 was years ago, and it was by accident. I use smplayer or vlc for playing video. For editing I use avidemux or linux tools you can't get for windows yet.
