Nootebook Though Monitor Screen

Hi

Before i upgraded up to windows 7 ultimate on my nootebook i use to able to connect a monitor. For some reason i can no longer get the nootebook contents though the monitor screen.

I have tried the following

I cannot open the resolution drop box it's stuck on 800 x 600

I may be doing the wrong thing, so i would be grateful for any advice.

I suspect you need a new gpu driver. Get the video adapter spec/model from system information ... I think that's what it's called in windows, I mostly use linux nowadays ... and go to the manufacturer's support site.

Yes, Windows only includes basic drivers for the graphics card. You need to install full drivers to get all the features.

I used Driver Update to update and it sorted the problem.
