  1. Finally I got around to rigging my LED TV to my Sony Blu-Ray BDP-S100 player, and then to the WEB, actually to the Sony Entertainment Network(SET) and guys it SUCKS....real bad!

Had I any idea what this Web TV was all about I would have stayed with 'local TV' instead, so where do I go from here....any ideas, any online stuff worthy of watching,.. preferably free, but if it's any good I don't mind paying

Of course, it's from Sony. Their major interest is in preserving the status quo at the production end (the part of the company that makes money). The last thing they want is for you to be able to bypass Blu-ray, DVD, broadcast/cable/sat TV, etc. Sony is the last company to bring such features to their hardware and have to be dragged kicking and screaming.

Netflix and Amazon have the widest catalogs along with Hulu Plus and Hulu Free. Most of the other decent stuff (ESPN, HBO, etc.) requires a cable/sat TV subscription. Which makes them mostly redundant.
