  1. I'm not aware of any other program that graphs bitrates like Bitrate Viewer. If I did I would have suggested it.

It would appear the confusion was on the part of the user, not the software. Even though I checked it several times because it didn't make sense. In my defence, I've always been a little dyslexic when it comes to numbers. 99% of the time the visual input while typing/writing acts as an error checking mechanism, and it was working again today. I only had to glance at the frame based bitrate value to see it contained one more number than it did when I checked it yesterday.

    Average: 6554 kbps
    Peak,
    Second based 11295 kbps
    GOP based: 9741 kbps
    Frame based 23335 kbps

    again apples and Oranges
the new number changes everything by a factor of 10*
making 30fps* 23335 over 600,000 kbs per second

which can only be uncompressed data display, IF it's even possible
not the stored compressed data stream

23335 is peak bitrate for ONE frame. Yes, that's equivalent to over 600,000 kbps per second, but that one frame is surrounded by lots of smaller frames.
