Nope. At least for external subtitles.

  4. I remove any names or companies I see in subtitles as it has nothing to do with the translation anyway. The people that provide subtitles for the videos I make don't bother to put their names into them. It's a labor of love for them (and for me). What do you care if your name isn't there for all the world to see? The only way to prevent your work being taken without attribution is to reencode the video with whatever you're trying to protect 'burned' or 'embedded' in the video.

Heck, even if you hardsub the subtitles, someone can always OCR or manually copy the text from them, if you're worried about someone taking your exact translation/text (if not the timecodes, effects, etc.).
If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

Most people don't make the subtitles for tv shows or movies, for tv and some movies shows it's the cc that's are edited and posted with people taking credit for actually making them from scratch.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

As near as I can tell, he doesn't care about the subs being used by someone else, but his name being removed and maybe (or maybe not) someone else's name being used instead. That's why I suggested hardcoding the name, if it's so important to him. Personally, I think it's much ado over nothing.

  9. Your only choice is to paste the subtitles in the video as graphics instead of text so it cannot be removed without removing the entire scene and no lamer would really cut out a part of the movie.

Watermarking your video will make people look for better alternatives though, I know I don't like them.

Normally I'd tell you to cleanse yourself of this egotistic bullshit of needing to put your name on every miniscule contribution you make on the internet but since the downfall of decentralized filesharing I've seen why being an attention whore is ******* REQUIRED for anybody to touch your stuff because anonymous uploads tend to be garbage uploaded by trolls and most of vanity-branded uploads tend to be garbage uploaded by attention whores who can't encode for shit.

When's the FBI or whatever gonna shut down these retarded torrent sites already? So sick of this horsecock parade.

  10. Hello, dear all

    @ Mephesto

paste the subtitles in the video as graphics instead of text
How this could be done? I mean: which programs and techniques to do it?

I do not care about the credits and all that stuff, specially because when I create or improve any subtitle on my hands, I like to share them with all community.

But, I never figure out about the possibility to "protect" any subtitle file. It'll be interesting the ways that could be done by the people.

The only "safe" way to never get any risk to have you work "stolen" is not do it at all.

Or do it and never share it with anybody else, keeping it hidden from anyone eyes. LOL.

    Thanks for the tips!

    Best regards.

Mephesto is simply referring to hardsubbing. There should be a few guides on how to hardsub here on VH, or at least a few processes listed on the forum.
