Hi iam using DVD IT PE 2.5
The mpeg file is 2,113,205,991 bytes but how comes when i put it on dvd it the file becomes 2.64gig. Why does the file increase and how can i stop that does any one have a bitrate callautor as the vcd bitrate does not give good results as a two hours of dvd should a video bitrate of 4.5 mb and usdio of 128. the file size is lower than 4.3gb, but is there a dvd software that does not take as much file size.

There could be a couple of explanations for this.
Your PC and your DVD software view file sizes in different ways. In PC terms 1Mb = 1024Kb but in DVD terms 1Mb=1000Kb. If you do nothing to the file other than load it into DVDit and DVDit reports the increased file size then that's the probably cause.
If however, DVDit reports the correct file size but the filesize increases when you burn it may be because your original file was variable bitrate but DVDit re-encodes to constant bitrate which will up the file size a bit.
Worth a try.
