  1. Does everyone use avidemux to merge multiple mp4s?

In the case of dvd's with multiple titles, is their an easier/better method than...

    1) ripping dvd to your HD
    2) using handbrake/vidcoder to convert to mp4
    3) using avidemux to merge mp4's into one file?

    It's easier to combine MPEG2.

  3. i was hoping to be able to combine all the titles before hand in handbrake or vidcoder...if not does it make sense to combine MPEG2 then convert it if i want the end file to be mp4?

that will take my process to 4 steps...seems like a lot to do to get a dvd on my HD.

DVDs with multiple titles have always been a pain. There are some crazy work-arounds but none of them involve less steps. The main goal is to just combine the damn things into one.

  5. I convert them individually and them combine the output files into a single MKV with MKVMergeGUI, but I guess the principle is the same.
Mind you I can't think of too may times I've needed to. Usually a movie or episode is a title on it's own and I prefer to keep them that way, so I'd probably only do it if I was re-encoding something like the DVD extras and wanted to combine them into a single file.
