    Hi at all,
I'm working with MKV Toolnix since 4 years. I never got big problem with it. But... I don't know from which version, but when I muxing my MKV with simple and compatible AVC strames and AC3 sound track, I cannot see it on my LG Bluray player BD370.

I'm trying different versions of MKV (5.8.0, 5.9.0, 6.3.0) and they don't work with all movies, even if I set compression header to None (on 6.3.0 when I open the new file I found empty the header compression field, and not with "None" value, anyway...)

    I found a solution, but I don't like it...

If I use Meteorite, a mkv tool to "repair" some MKV files, it works like a charm. The difference is in these screenshots...

If you can see, in the header seek, I have 5 elements on Meteorite file corrected, but in the MKVMerge generated file I have only 4 header seek.

I don't want to use Meteorite for each MKV I have in order to use in my BD Player! I would to use only one tool, like MKV Merge.

    Thanks.

Tried an even older version like 4.9.1?

Blu-ray players are very picky when it comes to what formats/mkv muxing they support.

    Well, you're right.
I've used the 3.4.0 but only after demuxed the tracks with TS Muxer.
Now I'm trying to use 4.9.1 as you suggest.

    Thanks.

  4. i have the same issue. my Blu-Ray is a LG BD670. i found a workaround, using MKVToolnix. In the menu Muxing - Add command line options, add the command "clusters in meta seek"

Hi, I've used version 4.9.1 and it works fine, if I check no-compression for all tracks.
The huge problem is VOB SUB subtitles merged into MKV file. If I have these type of subtitle, the movie freeze with green lines and the player breaks.

I've tested the command line "--clusters-in-meta-seek" and "--engage vobsub_subpic_stop_cmds", but netiher works for me.
Have you some suggestion in order to use VOB SUB subtitles? Or even does you have some firmware modded for this player?

    Thanks in advantage.

Is there a way to see Mkv with VobSub inside?

MKV containers can hold anything. Unfortunately hardware devices like BluRay players and streaming media players don't allow anything in MKV files. I created an MKV file once with Divx video, MP3 audio and AC3 audio. No hardware player I've ever used can play it correctly. They will either only play the video without sound or only play the audio without video. What I did is allowed inside MKV, but nothing but a PC can play it correctly. Your reality is that you will probably have to convert the Vobsub subtitles to ASS or SRT format to get the MKV to play correctly on your BluRay player.
