Is Power2go 7 a blu ray authoring program ? I guess not and you have just created a data disk - simply burning your video to the disk without the associated files for blu ray.

You can use MultiAVCHD to create the neccessary folders & files and imgburn to burn those folders to a blank disk.

  3. yes it came up as a data disc
it plays on my computer and surround
but you have to tell it to play

so power2go is no good for burn blu rays

Your drive probably came with the Cyberlink suite of which Power2go is one element. I think that just burns disks. There is a difference between 'authoring' which creates the files and 'burning' which puts the created files on to the disk although many authoring programs also make a fist of burning.

That suite may also have a program called Power Director and that can author/burn dvds but I do not know if it also author/burn blu ray. Other than that you can buy blu ray authoring programs - check the tools section - or use the software I have suggested which will cost you zilch except a little learning.
