Ok so I have been authoring and burning Bluray DVDs using MultiAVCHD but recently I played back the DVD only to find out I forgot to edit commercials on one of the video files. I accidentally deleted the .TS files which I had used to author and create the DVD.

So what id like to do now, Not sure if its possible is extract those files again so I can edit that 1 file which includes commercials and then burn a new Disc. I used Imgburn to burn the DVD and there are a few other options it gives you like "creating image file from disc" but not sure if this would allow me to do that or would be the easiest way. I once tried that just to keep a copy in my HDD of another project but it created a .Rar document that I could never figure out how to open or extract so Im very confused at this time.

Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!

Are you saying that Imgburn created a rar file? Didn't know it could do that.

    *update

Yes instead of an .ISO image file it created a rar file, this one I was able to open and all the video files were there so I was able to extract the one I needed to edit!

It appears when getting files from a BD-R disc it creates a rar file but when I try the same from a DL-disc or standard DVD disc it then creates an ISO file, not sure how or why it does that. Its confusing to me but as long as it works im cool with that.

From my own experience Imgburn creates an ISO file when "create image file from disc" is selected. I don't think it can create RAR files. Where in the settings does it give you the option of creating RAR files?

I know its very weird! the option I select is "Create image file from Disc" it even shows as an .ISO file when I select the destination folder but for some weird reason when its all done I get a rar file instead of an .ISO file.

Ok I think I've figure it out, when it asks to save the file I have 3 options, ( .Bin, .ISO and .IMG ) I was selecting the .ISO option which was creating the rar file which is still very weird because it had an .ISO extension.

I selected the .IMG option this time and it works but its still a big size file created, I will just rather keep the AVCHD folder just in case I wish to access the files within the project.
