  1. Hello.
In the last month or so, i have this problem.
    PowerDVD can't play Blu-rays.
It pops up the message of the title, and it can't play them.
The funny thing is that this doesn't happen all the time!
    Sometimes, it works!
I mean just now, i thought to check just in case, and it worked. It played the Bluray!
Then, i restarted my pc, and that message again appeared when i try to play the Bluray.

(when it pops up that message, the region of the player has vanished and you have 0 changes for BLuray region).

I have tried many versions of PowerDVD. None works.

    any tip?

Maybe time to test something else like TMT. Try the trial first and see how it works for a month.

  3. I was using TMT but I had other problems in the last days (audio pops).
Then i used WinDVD and i had other problems explained here: https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/357738-WinDVD-panel-keeps-appearing-in-fullscreen!?...96#post2256896

Ok, it seems i had to write here to find the solution after a month or so!! hehe!

I followed the advice of John768 here:
    http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/105/27357.page
i didn't find all the files that he said to delete, but I deleted a couple.
anyway, i think my problem was strongly linked to this:
Panda antivirus had been sending to quarantine the CLhelper.exe in the past month. Don't know why.

Anyway, these are the steps that i did, and the problem is SOLVED now!

    1) Deleted as many files i could find from the ones John768 mentions.
    2) Prevented powerDVD from connecting to internet through Panda's firewall
    3) made an exception from quarantine for the Cyberlink folder (if i didn't do that, the Clhelper.exe would be constantly sent to quarantine)
    4) restored CLhelper.exe to its initial folder

Now, everything works fine as it seems!!
