  1. Firstly I have been looking for months for a good m2ts converter and I have tryed EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN I have wasted alot of money to as the least . Only to have the converters I've tryed not work or be too big or have the sound not work... I'm simply looking for a converter that will let me convert video's to a size limit of 3.99 GB and put it in any size I want (like 1920x1080 or 1920x800, or 1280x720, or 1280 588 etc) and with 640 ac3 5.1 sound all in a m2ts. I have tryed converter you pay for and free ones two none of them meet THIS SIMPLE standard does anyone know where I can find a GOOD m2ts converter that will allow me to resize videos without having to run it through another converter to gain a size I like and will still let me set the audio to 640 ac3 (DD) 5.1 with it fitting a size limit of 3.99GB?

I use VidCoder for .m2ts files from a BD disc, extracted with TsMuxeR and converted to MKV with AC3 audio.

Have you tried avchdcoder, ripbot264 or bdrebuilder?

    What is your source video?

Try using Handbrake to convert to .mkv. Leave an extra 100MB or so (3.89GB), since the .m2ts container will give you a file size that is larger than having the same streams in an .mkv folder. Then just remux with TSmuxer to .m2ts. I know it's not a simple 1-step solution but it will get the job done.

I have tryed Handbrake... most of time when you set it to 6 channels (DD 5.1) the output video sound crackals or will not play audio for short time periods during the video. And will only show two kbps 655 and 634. So Handbrake sucks to me I've used Any Video Converter it has a m2ts conversion options, but not 5.1 and so others I've tryed do to, but you can only choose 2 stereo... I have seen videos online with m2ts DD 5.1 640 kbps.

I have tryed avchdcoder. I will see how the other two work thanks I've tryed some of the others people have pointed out to me, and I'm trying to figure out. MediaCoder when I set up the output 5.1 it still comes out 2 stereo 256 kbps. I set it to ac3 FFmpeg 640 kbps and it still comes out like that I'm still taking to figure it out the video height and width its hard to set as well I want to set it to 1920x816... but they will come out at 1920x1080 or sometimes I can set it to 1920x816 and it will come out as that... I'm still looking for something that can meet what I feel is a simple outfit file 3.99GB with a DD 5.1 640 kbps. I tryed alot of different video converters and some did one thing and some did others.

Then you must be doing something wrong. Just for the demonstration I took a file attachment1 and converted 2 minutes of it in attachment 2.

  11. Well I've recently figured out why it said that. I was looking at the details on the properties menu and it would say 2 (stereo) 256 and not the 6 (5.1) channels 640 kbps I was hoping. So it plays videos in ac3 DD 5.1 like I was hoping. now I'm wondering if their is a why to use m2ts. with DTS video output? Whenever I set the audio to DTS it gives me a code 008 error, can you put m2ts videos in DTS with Mediacoder?
