  1. Hello all im having an issue with my canopus advc 110 that its not being recnized as a audio device only a video im trying to do a live stream on twitch.tv and im using obs

    I don't understand what you are attempting.

    Better explain in more detail given the standard usage of a 110.

    I should add that an ADVC does not capture the audio. It processes it but the actual capture is performed by your soundcard input source.

    That's wrong. The ADVC happily captures audio and passes it to the PC within the DV stream over Firewire.

    You don't even need a sound card.


    Some capture programs may let you choose an alternative audio source, but the ADVC itself is definitely providing audio to the PC over Firewire. If you set your capture program to look at your soundcard, it won't see the ADVC's audio.

    My stupid error. I'm so used to seeing the mpeg capture/transcoding screen through Ulead that I forget about standard DV 'capture'

    Still do not know what the OP is smokin' tho.
