  1. I was wondering is it possible to make an image of your current harddrive, but have it saved as the .vhd format to use in Microsoft's virtual PC program?

Little by little I am getting my windows 7 up to snuff, but I really would not mind technically keeping this current pc (xp) with all programs and settings, etc that I have it set with now, instead of starting all over with the XP that the Win 7 allows you to download via for the installed virtual pc programs they give to you on Win 7

  2. There's such a tool for VMWare. Maybe you could convert from VMWare's format to Microsofts'.

Jagabo, it was your reply that hit me off to VMware which I am looking into, and CG's reply with the link that let me know about disk2vhd. Though the issue I might have with that is disck2vhd will only work with a drive 127 gigs or less. A few others used tools from Paragon that worked with vmware. Either way this has given me a direction to look in. Thanks again-
