    Hi,
    I'd say it is interlaced (99%) but moving this video frame by frame I can see some no-interlaced frames (guitar player head from behind). It was recorded with hauppauge HDPVR, input signal 1080i. I'm still learning about this stuff and that makes me wonder if maybe MTV converted the video in some "wrong" way. Or am I completly wrong and this is interlaced all way long.

    During playback you may notice audio being out of sync (mplayer) because I cut a small part from of the whole clip using DGSplit.

    You're right. It's encoded as interlaced and has interlaced content. But because it was poorly converted from film to PAL, it's field-blended and there are some progressive frames as is always the case with garbage like this.
