Smartripper and some locked files

I am trying to rip this one dvd to my HDD, all the files using smartripper. When i start up smartripper it reads about 95% of the files, then it tells me that some of the files are still locked, and to use a player to unlock them. Well i tried using powerdvd over and over and i still get the sae result from smartripper. Is there anything else i can do or try?

I also tried claddvd and it did not report any errors, but when it got to those last three files it just errored out and quit. I did a www search on this and people are saying use a player to unlock the files, then try smartripper again. Well i did all of that and it does not seem to work.

have you tried dvd decryptor?

You can also try vStrip. It is supposed to be the best with these difficult DVDs, but it is a COMMAND LINE (ie, DOS) program (I think that someone has now written a GUI for it).

By the way, what is the title of the DVD?

the problem could be that those files at the end are bigger than the standard 0.99 gig vob files...i've had same problem with sneakers....the first movie vob file was 1.00 gig instead of 0.99 gig and smartripper just couldn't handle it....(latest dvddecryptor can, so give that a shot)

I had a problem like this and i watched part of the movie on power dvd and retried after a few mins playing it and all files were readable. Try running it through your player on the pc then run smartripper on it again.
