  3. Planar UltraRes Series has 4k (= HXGA) but is not 24" but 84"
Sony XBR Series has 4k for 55", 65" and 84"
there might be smaller once which are labeled as medical equipment,...
Btw. do you have a graphic card which offers WHUXGA or HXGA output?

you caught me. Even though my monitor 4096x2160 max and graphic card 3840x2160 max, I am still running short on bottom-low hardware resources for true full specs 4k and 8k resolution.

    OOOOooooooooooooooops!

Wake me up, if you guys come across any time in near future.
    Till then ...

  8. @MJA: Nope.
3,840 x 2,160 is the max that his current graphic card supports, but it's still not 4096x216
32" is a nice size, but he was looking for a 24" monitor.

Making an 32-inch LCD display with pixels that are small enough for 3840 x 2160 is difficult enough. No 24-inch 4096x2160 monitors have been released yet or are likely to be in the near future.

The two 3840 x 2160 (Dell and Asus) monitors I saw that will be released this year are 31.5-inch screens. These 32-inch monitors are made using a different material than a normal LCD monitor would use to allow pixels to be made smaller. They use Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide (IGZO) instead of the usual amorphous silicon for the active layer of the monitor. Asus is accepting pre-orders now, with a pre-order price of $3500.

The only 4096x2160 monitor Google found for me was EIZO's DuraVision FDH3601-BK LED monitor, but it has a 36.4" screen. It costs a mere $21,600.00.

[Edit] When I looked at the catalog for the company selling the other EIZO monitor, it actually lists a second 4096x2160 36.4" color monitor, the EIZO RadiForce RX840-MG - LED monitor, which is only $29,000.00.

...or buy a larger monitor to have something now, maybe with slightly lower resolution to save a little money.

My video work-bench needs at least three of them and even running short for 8k resolution. I would prefer to get another brand new benz for my better-bitter-half.

  13. Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to simply go for a multi-monitor setup?
