    Hello to everyone
I have a dvd with two titles (two tv shows) and I want to extract only the second one in order to burn it on a new dvd-r with only that part, so I used DVD Shrink: I have two options
    1) Select ''title 2'', no compression and push ''Backup'', to have a dvd with only the second title
    2) Push ''Reauthor'' and do the same thing...
But what's the differences between these two options? Thanks in advance for the replies

If the title you took had chapters, and you wanted to select one or just a few of them, that's where reauthor mode comes in. Reauthor mode does MUCH more but that is the basic idea.

DVDShrink does not re-encode if you do not want it to.

and If I want to take a small part of the video? for example, one chapter of the dvd? (not title, chapters like cutscenes or songs in gigs, the ones that you can play by root menu)

DVDShrink also has an editor of sorts in re-author mode that allows you to "set start and end frames". You can also open multiple DVDs in the DVD browser to put pieces of several DVDs into one DVD.

Now I'm another problem: How I can reauthor a dvd from 4 titles into one single title without loss of quality?
The reauthor button on dvd shrink give me back the dvd as it was authored, with 4 titles, while I want to keep that 4 titles and make them one

DVDShrink assumes these titles have different video characteristics.....different bitrates, different audio, etc etc. DVDShrink is still a fantastic, easy program but sometimes a real editor is the smarter way to go.
