Hello everyone. I might be a noob for asking this but I ripped a few movies from my personal collection and when I add them to my Plex library it shows the title as "DVD RIP TITLE 01" etc... I see the attributes when right-clicking and going into properties, but I can't remove some of the "Titles". Is there a tool/program that removes video metadata?

    Thanks!

  2. I Googled 'tool to modify video metadata' and got over 6 million hits. I don't know which one of those is best. Maybe someone here that has done metadata editing can chime in.

I did the same and wasn't able to find anything helpful. Found plenty of info for editing metadata on images and audio but none for video :/ It doesn't have to be a batch editor.. I just need a way of removing the data from the video files.

  5. different containers -> different tools suited for editing tags -> no info about the containers used -> ....
for avi files: abcAVI Tag Editor is a decent editor
for mkv files: mkvmerge works fine
for mp4 files: Mp3tag is a decent tool
in generel: ffmpeg can be used to remux and while at it remove metadata entries

They are mainly mp4 using h264/aac. I will try some of those suggestions when I get home. Thanks you guys. I'll let you know how it goes this evening.
