  1. Another problem I have with CCE:

Yesterday I tried some new settings in CCE based on DVD2SVCD, the ones I used was Zig-zag scanning order, progressive frames, linear quantizer scale. Well it appears one of these made CCE go crazy. The file was supposed to be encoded with avg 2200, max 2496, min 300. When I later analyzed it in Bitrate Viewer the avg was 1600 and max 2700. Which setting caused this?

  2. Did you analyze it before or after doing pulldown. Bitrate viewer gives a very wrong answer after pulldown.

The best way to get the average rate is with BBMpeg - when you mux the video it gives you the "true" average rate, and I've found it's always +/- about 2 % for CCE, although I have to admit, I never use linear quantizer scale, but I do use zig-zag and progressive.

  3. PAL video so no pulldown was done. And the reason I'm asking is because:

    1. The final mpv file was only 400-500mb, usually 700mb+
    2. Quality was overall worse than usually, and I got som freezing because of too high bitrate.
