I'm looking for software that can hardcode subtitles into MP4 files. It must meet three conditions:
1. No visible quality drop in image quality.
2. Italics visible in the output file.
3. HD resolution compatible.
Not every piece of software can do that, in Avidemux 2.6.4 I cannot add the subtitles at all. I'm not sure about VirtualDub but I think it is not compatible with MP4 files.
Handbrake did not add the subtitles in SRT format, don't know why. I'm going to try Xvid4PSP, do you have any other suggestions?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

just "pump up the bitrate"
several subtitle formats support it
no problem.
Use virtualdub with external encoder, load subs (srt. ass etc), resize to hd resolution
