    Hi everyone,
I have a "mpg" file which i need to cut.
I'm using Avidemux" for that puropse.
I cut a fraction of the original "mpg" file, saved it and to my dismay it was saved as "idx" file.
What am i supposed to do with "idx" file?!
How can I get a new "mpg" (or "avi") file out of a cut mpg file?
    Thanks

  2. The idx file is an index file that was built when you opened the source MPG file. It is not the file you saved when you were done editing. You'll have to go back and look for that file (it's probably in the AviDemux folder). Also note that AviDemux may not automatically add the filename extension when it saves. So if you didn't type ".mpg" to the end of the filename the saved file won't have an extension.
