Frame from a multi-generation copy VHS. The whole video isn't like this, this is from one of the really bad parts. I have mixed results applying Neat Video. Wondering what plugins you'd suggest.

For some reason during the course of the video this particular shot angle is afflicted like this, other shot angles aren't so bad.

    Thanks for all input.

  2. How long are the bad parts ? And what is the temporal relationship with "good" sections ?

If they are relatively short , and/or interspersed with "good" frames, you can try interpolating/replacing them

Otherwise this looks hopeless for "normal" chroma noise approaches

The shots from this angle are all plagued with this.

Are the chroma problems definitely baked into the multi-generational tape ? I have first-gen VHS tapes that look like that on a JVC player but much better on a Sony. Do you have access to another VHS player ?

I don't have access to the tape any longer. As I recall it exhibited the same problems on a couple of different players.

Ironically had I hung onto it another month or so I could have kept it permanently since the guy who loaned it to me died....
