how to play pvr video files in computer?

i have got set top box it has recording option in PVR format..

but i am not able to run this file on computer even i cant convert ..

can anyone help me out ?

PVRs/DVRs typically don't use a file system that Windows recognizes/supports, and when they do, the files are often in a propriatary format. The only way that I've seen is to play the files on the PVR/DVR and capture them in real time on a PC. You would need a capture card/device on the PC.
