  1. Hi, I accidentally got the static version of ffmpeg and, how do I remove it from my computer? Or does static mean its just a one time run and wasn't actually installed?

  2. static means all libraries are compiled into 1 binary, so you can just delete it (it's just a single executable with nothing installed)

    ffmpeg comes as either static or shared. The static build is one big binary, with everything it needs included within. The shared build depends on external libraries.
    To remove a static version of ffmpeg, just delete the binary.

    Edit: poisondeathray was faster.

  4. Find or locate static ffmpeg, right-click or drag-n-drop -> to trash, and finally Empty trash.
