  1. Hello.

I have many PAL VHS tapes, i want to transfer to PC.

    I want the best quality.

So i hope someone can recommend the best 2012 and 2013 models.

Since i have a model that is some years now, some i will shift out with a newer model.

  2. Capture cards have not gotten any better at capturing VHS in recent years. If anything they've gotten worse.

    new model of what????
For the nth time, with the possible exception of certain Intel processors, I don't have/ever owned anything whose name starts with "i".

Many here are using capture devices that have been discontinued for at least a few years. The ATI TV Wonder HD 600 USB is one such device that gets a lot of recommendations at VideoHelp.

Generalist review sites like Top Ten Reviews do not often recommend the same products as the members of a specialist website like this one would. The Hauppauge USB-Live 2 is still in production and isn't on the list, but one of our long-time members in the EU says it does an excellent job digitizing VHS tapes with free programs like Virtualdub, paid ones like MAGIX Video Easy HD, or the included WinTv 7.
