  1. Ok, here's what I'm wanting to do... I have extracted all the files from a DVD disc I have. It's greater than 4.7GB and I don't want to re-encode anything. I'd like to keep it as is. I have isolated the two major parts of the DVD disc. There are two main programs on it. What I would like to do is to put each title on each side of the disc. Then, if the other one is selected when on the wrong side of the disc, I would like to make a menu screen that says to flip the disc to access that one. Same for the opposite side.

I would assume (given my current knowledge of the file structure) that if I burn ALL files except those from program 1, I will be able to do everything but access program 1. If I burn ALL files except those from program 2, I will be able to do everything but access the missing program 2. Is this a correct presumption? If so, I would simply like to add a link from the menu when the wrong program is accessed, saying to flip the disc. I'm sure it's not hard. I just don't know how to convert the VOB and IFO files to a format I can author in. I would appreciate some guidance. Thanks!!

  2. Ok, apparently my logic is flawed to start with. I tried copying all files but the VOB files associated with the second program. Even after running IFOedit and using "Get VTS sectors", I can't even get the main menu to load anymore. Apparently something is missing. Help?

  3. use smartripper and on tab stream select only video, audio, language and others of your own language. Usually you can fit a dvd9 in a dvd5 (except addon)

  4. Thanks. I tried that and, unfortunately, everything listed is in English. There are extras but the space they take up is rather minor compared to the two programs. Just the two programs alone push it past the 4.7GB mark. That's why I was wanting to try to do it the way I suggested. Any ideas?
