  1. hello all

I have lots of trp video files on a usb external hard drive, I wish to convert them to a format that retains quality but smaller files sizes.

I wish to play the converted files (through a fat ps3 as quality of video playback is fairly good ) video on ps3 hard drive or via mem stick external hdd drive

and also burn files to dvd to play via my dvd player/recorder.

myn tv can also play video via usb port. avi generally works or vob

I have wondershare video convter ultimate, if I have a 600mb trp file and convert to (vob) format , the convterd files plays on all my stuff. but the vob files are rather large

I have tried xvid/divx but find a file might play on ps3/tv and computer but not on my dvd player file is not supported. vob files take up too much room .

i want to keep the files on dvd/storage but empty my external hdd for fresh files

    thank you

Then you're stuck. Normal DVD players only play VOB files on properly authored. Since your player doesn't play Divx/Xvid VOB the only format that's common to your DVD player and ps3.
